I am a certified professional with a passion for coaching others to find happiness within and achieve a balance in every aspect of their life. I've spent over 20 years of my life helping people improve their health and vitality working in the chiropractic profession, the fitness industry, as a life coach, a motivational speaker and with nutritional supplements. 

 

From the mid-1980's to the present, the wealth of technology and automation in the US has begun to take a toll on public health.  I've witnessed this as most of the people I've worked with through the years live with health challenges from daily stress and are physically deconditioned from a lack of exercise, yet their lifestyle show no shortage of technology and resources meant to provide ease and convenience. 

 

The sad part is we have more access to resources and information than ever for healthy living, yet 33% of adults are estimated to be obese with 16% of teenagers considered overweight.  Low back pain affects nearly 80% of all adults, over 80,000 knee injuries occur annually (70% noncontact), and we face an epidemic from chronic diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis and diabetes.  Unnatural posture, caused by improper sitting results in increased neck, mid and lower back, shoulder and leg pain.

 

Many clients I work with have been physically molded by furniture, gravity, and inactivity, they eat poorly or skip meals and are living under heavy amounts of emotional and mental stress.  It is my life's work to help people live as pain free as possible. I offer solutions that change lives and improve health. 

 

I cater to creating my wellness programs especially for each individual person.  In other words, I design a plan for you that takes into consideration your environment, the daily tasks you must perform and your current level of health and fitness as a starting point.  I offer a blend of posture analyzing, nutrition, fitness, goal setting, education and positive reinforcement delivered through a coaching structure.    

 

Today's health and fitness consumer has an increasingly high level of expectations.  They want the best and the brightest who can provide unparalleled results.  To meet these expectations and better deliver quality, innovation, and evidence-based health and fitness solutions to my clients, I develop new and exciting solutions with the best-in-class partners from a variety of industries when necessary.

Hiring a coach stirs from the desire to make changes in your life.  Think of a personal coach as a change catalyst. Change catalysts generate movement.  Movement is life, (even if it's not always in the right direction).  Movement is better than stuck-ness.  In order to accomplish any goal, you must implement changes…be it your perspective, your direction or your actions, implementing the right changes move you closer to your goals.  (If you’re not moving closer to your goals, you are moving farther away.) 

Coaching is like personal training for the mind.  As your coach, (your Change Catalyst) I will work with you to 1) identify where you are (your current reality), 2) where you want to be (your vision) and 3) how you will get there (your strategy).

 

Coaching is about transforming something common into something special. Working together, we will develop a personal strategy that may include personal and professional goals, values, wants and needs. Using listening and intuitive questioning I will help you delve into your own wisdom to gain greater clarity, perspective and focus to create a strategy that transforms your vision into your reality. Whether you are focused on reaching one goal or trying to take a successful situation to the next level, I can help clarify your priorities, set actions and provide accountability.

If you live in the Waukesha area, we can take your coaching outdoors.  Spending time in nature will give you access to infinite creativity, thought freedom and a feeling of emotional bliss.  I believe you gain greater clarity while walking and talking, when surrounded by the sights and sounds nature has to offer.  Using the metaphors of nature, together we will create a plan for you that puts your vision into action.

***If you're not sure about becoming active or boosting your level of physical activity because you're afraid of getting hurt, the good news is that moderate-intensity aerobic activity, like brisk walking, is generally safe for most people.  (The bottom line is-the health benefits of physical activity far outweigh the risks of getting hurt!)
